Brushing Tips

Aren't there so many brushes that sometimes it gets overwhelming? Depending on the nature of your hair, you might need only one or a few different brushes.

First, let's categorize these brushes:

Teasing brush

Small, medium, large brushes

Oval boar-bristle brush

Flat, natural-bristle paddle brush

Using a natural boar bristle brush is the right way to go. This is good when to give the hair a healthy brushing.

An oval boar-bristle brush is a good brush as it allows you to grab the hair at the point of the oval, so you can get really close to the root. In this way, you can get a better grip on the hair.

If you have fine or medium-textured hair, it's good to shy away from metal brushes.

Coming to teasing brushes, it is best used to give that bump at the crown. To get the glam look, take the teaser brush and lift the crown section of your hair, hold that section uup high, and start at the middle of the hair and push down and repeat.
